COPPER CANE

WINEMAKER, JOE WAGNER'S BRAINCHILD

Maverick winemaker, Joe Wagner, made the transition away from his family's business, Wagner Family of Wines (creator of Caymus), to found Copper Cane Wines and Provisions with California Pinot Noirs, Belle Glos, and Meiomi which put Joe and Copper Cane on the map. Meiomi was sold to Constellation Brands for over $300 million. I've worked with the Wagner family and with Joe throughout this change and growth. Joe also added Elouan, Boen, Quilt and Steorra to the portfolio which is documented here.

Creative Director for Meiomi shepherding growth in the Pinot Noir boom continuously through three owners. On its brand value alone without property or other assets, Meiomi sold to Constellation for $315 million.

Strategically repositioned, Jackson Family Wines, family owners of Kendall-Jackson, La Crema and over 40 other wineries. Redesigned and rewrote its corporate advertising and website including a personal video documentary series profiling each of the family members and their philosophy on winemaking and the importance of sustainability.
